"Book The Plane Ticket. Pack The Suitcase. Stamp The Passport. Be A Free Coconut!
Hello my Travel Girl Gang!
All of us here on the Free Coconut team continuously chat about our values as not only a brand and a vision, but as women and individuals! It keeps us in tune with ourselves, the Free Coconut lifestyle, and of course the most important people to us: YOU.
The first step in living young, wild, and free is accepting your authentic self and all that comes with you! Your past, your present, your future and all of the little moments in between. Learning about what you love, embracing what brings you happiness, and celebrating every part of yourself.
We understand that this can be a daunting task, so in order to make you feel more comfortable, this week for The Chatty Coconut Blog, we're going to be doing Staff Spotlights for every member of the Free Coconut team.
Starting out with the most integral member of the Free Coconut: Our owner, Stephanie!
Get To Know Free Coconut Owner Stephanie
Born in Philadelphia and raised in upstate New York, resilience and determination have been the two words at the center of Stephanie's life. As a mom to six children, having her first one while still a teenager, she is the embodiment of perseverance and has experienced more of what life has to offer, the good the bad and the ugly, at every step of the way.
Before becoming an entrepreneur and the owner of several business including The Pink Closet Company and Free Coconut celebrating women of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities, she was a nurse pulling more hours weekly than you could possibly imagine. In fact, she was an essential worker during the Covid-19 pandemic, and risked her health and safety everyday in order to tend to others. Her love, appreciation, and passion for nursing even led her to open up her own medical consulting business helping nurses all over the country!
Her hatred for the cold would eventually bring her down to Florida, where I was lucky enough to meet her and even luckier to join the team. However, her desire to live the tropical lifestyle 24/7 is what has inspired her to move her and her family to a different country. Somewhere tropical that embraces her love and appreciation for Rastafarian culture and all that comes with it. From dreams of world peace to the celebration of Bob Marley and all things reggae.
Her long term goals are to expand into more philanthropy-based projects, and transcend that into a career in motivational speaking. As someone who has been on the receiving end of Stephanie's wisdom and guidance, she has a way of making life sound delicious and full of opportunity and has definitely pulled me out of a slump or two.
